Prenatal sonographic findings of Edward syndrome: Review of 16 cases

Abstract

The type and prevalence of prenatal ultrasound (US) findings in the fetuses with Edward syndrome were determined. Prenatal US can detect one or more abnormalities in most Edward syndrome. Abnormal US findings that are sensitive to Edward syndrome include heart anomaly, limb abnormalities, abnormal skull shape, choroid plexus cyst and facial abnormalities.
