Abstract

OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this article is to show various cardiac MDCT findings of a cardioembolic origin in patients with embolic stroke. CONCLUSION. Cardiac MDCT is an emerging technique for the identification and assessment of a cardioembolic origin in patients with embolic stroke. In the near future, it will play an increasing role in the assessment of patients with a suspected embolic stroke.
